Complimentary and Supplementary Angles 2

Directions: Using the digits 0 to 9 at most one time each, fill in the boxes to create supplementary and complementary angles where the measures of each pair of angles are as close together as possible.

Hint

How would you know if the values you picked do not make supplementary or complementary angles?

Answer

The measures of each pair of angles that are as close together as possible are 102° and 78° (a difference of 24°) for the supplementary angles as well as 36° and 54° (a difference of 18°) for the complementary angles for a total difference of 42°.

  1. Fun! (Note that the hint talks about “angels” 😇 )

  2. Like this! Especially like it because the total difference is still a “larger” number. Often times, we are looking for differences of one to ten total, but this has a total difference of 24.
