Solving Quadratic Functions using the Square Root Method

Directions: Using the digits 1 to 9, at most one time each, place a digit in each box to create two separate quadratic equations.

Hint

What step would you take the square root in?
What numbers could you put there?

Answer

4x^2+3=7, x=±1 (x-5)^2=9, x=8,2
2x ^2+6x=8, x=+_1, (x-7)^2=4, x= 5,9
