  1. 3/10+3/10+3/10+40/100=1 1/10

  2. You can’t do that because you can only use each number 0 – 9 once.

  3. Another way of thinking about this problem is: What 4 unique natural numbers add to 11? There is only one solution: 1, 2, 3, 5. Because of this, I feel like the problem doesn’t really belong on Open Middle. However, perhaps I am wrong. I wonder how the problem could be tweaked to make it more open-ended.
