Directions: Using the digits 1 to 9 at most one time each, place a digit in each box so that the function has the greatest possible value.

Hint

How can you tell whether your function is correct? What is the greatest possible value the sine function can have?

Answer

The greatest possible value is sin(3π/6) = √4/2.
