Solution to a Linear and Quadratic System of Equations

Directions: Using the digits 1 to 9, at most one time each, place a digit in each box so that the solution(s) to the system are integers.

Hint

What type of numbers are integers? How do we solve quadratic equations? How could a graphical representation be helpful? What is the relationship between the linear terms in each equation? The constant terms in each equation?

Answer

There are multiple answers…one is y=x^2+6x+7 and y=x+3,
another answer is y=x^2+3x+5 and y=x+4
