Directions: Create 3 lines that have the same domain. Then, create 3 more lines that have the same range.

How can we use the x or y axis to help?

Answer

There are infinite answers, but any non-vertical lines would have the same domain. Any non-horizontal lines would have the same range.

  1. How about this take:

    “Create the equations of three line segments that all share one endpoint, but all have a unique second endpoint. Identify the domain, range, and all of the endpoints.”

    An extension: Groups swap their end points, and see if they can determine the three equations and the domain and range.
